Kelly Lord

Kelly holds a BFA degree in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She had the privilege of beginning her career with 2 established Atlanta designers. Kelly has experience in a wide range of design platforms including commercial, residential, and hospitality. Since 2009 she has been working as an independent designer and moved to the Nashville area in 2013 to bring her talent to a new and growing market. Two years later she was presented with the incredible opportunity to work as the lead designer “behind the scenes” for 2 seasons of Listed Sisters on HGTV.  Kelly has been awarded the sizzle award for Franklin, TN’s best interior design service in that category in 2019 and 2021.

Kelly has always had a love for fine arts ever since she was young. It was in interior design where she found her true passion. Her personal style is clean and streamlined, while incorporating cozy and modern elements. She loves developing relationships with homeowners and emphasizes building authentic connections with them to design to their personality and tailor to their lifestyle. Kelly loves gathering inspiration from nature, travel, and fellow artists and designers.

Kelly lives in Franklin with her husband and two children where they enjoy hanging out on the back porch and watching the kids play in the backyard. On the weekends they enjoy outdoor adventures like hiking and visiting local parks and farmers markets.

Are you team pocket door? We have a love/hate relationship with them over here at KLD. They are a great space saver when working with small spaces, but you always have to think about what’s happening on the walls where that pocket door lives.
When everyone else is designing open concept plans we’re creating the most adorable and full of character galley kitchen. This historic downtown Franklin home was so much fun to work on. @pritchettsmithbuilders did a great job making my vision
